Pregnancy and early motherhood place significant physical demands on the body.
These small-group strength classes are designed to help you move safely, build resilience, and feel confident in your body — whether you are preparing for birth or returning to exercise after having your baby.
All sessions are structured, professionally coached, and aligned with current UK guidance on physical activity during pregnancy and postpartum recovery.
Suitable for women in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters who:
Want to continue or begin strength training safely
Experience back, hip, or postural discomfort
Wish to prepare their body for labour
Prefer small group professional supervision
Suitable from:
6+ weeks post vaginal birth
8–10+ weeks post caesarean (with medical clearance)
Designed for women who:
Want structured, safe return to exercise
Are unsure where to begin
Experience pelvic floor symptoms
Wish to rebuild strength progressively
Small groups (limited spaces)
Structured progression over multiple weeks
Trimester-specific modifications
Pelvic floor education (including relaxation, not just contraction)
Focus on strength and function, not high-intensity fatigue
Evidence-informed programming
The approach reflects guidance from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and physical activity recommendations from the National Health Service.
Each 60-minute session includes:
Structured warm-up
Strength training (moderate intensity)
Core & pelvic floor integration
Functional movement patterns
Guided cool down
Intensity is monitored using the talk test and RPE scale to ensure safety throughout pregnancy and postpartum recovery.
